The Nurkids Program
Our Approach to Education.
Nurkids adopts the motivational teaching approach whereby the children are assessed on their progress on a regular basis without examinations. Learning is fun at Nurkids when the young learners are not graded in term of their examination marks. By giving lot of supportive books and materials, the children learn at their own pace. Nurkids will give varieties of exposures through thematic lessons in order to offer them higher chances to develop their intellectual, emotional and spiritual capabilities.
As a standard practice, Nurkids uses phonics and whole word approach in Reading, Mental Arithmetic in Mathematics, Iqra’ for Reciting Quran and Thematic approach for Social Sciences and Islamic Cultures. We believe that curriculum plays a vital role in every preschool activity, right from interactions and meals to singing and playing. We never miss an opportunity to educate. We have the best-in-class curriculum designed in-house using a combination of Playway and Interactive methods.
Recognising that no two children develop at the same pace, our curriculum provides a framework for highly individualised and flexible learning experiences through conducive methods. Every curriculum-based activity is designed with a specific lesson or outcome in mind. We teach children Life Skills and Value Education that go beyond reading, writing and arithmetic.
Playing with toys, listening to music and activities with other children develops motor skills and teaches lessons in sharing. Socio-dramatic plays, creative crafts and festival celebrations instil an interest in arts while forging social bonds.
Our Teacher
Our pre-school teachers have extraordinary levels of patience, enthusiasm, creativity and above all, a love for early childhood education. We believe that nurturing a child in the right direction is the collective responsibility of the parents and the Pre-School. Our teachers remain in constant touch with parents about their child’s needs, skills and achievements, so a well-connected bond is established between home and the Pre-School.- Our teachers are certified in Early Childhood Care & Education programs, which gives them the fundamental qualifications to help nurture your child. The teachers come with a wealth of experience and dedicate their efforts towards ensuring the progress and well-being of your child.

How Children Learn Best
- Verbal Linguistic - This particular intelligence involves the ability to communicate and having the love to use language in a variety of ways, through oral or writing, as opposed to pictures.
- Intrapersonal - Children have a strong sense of themselves as well as their wants and needs. They are self reflective and are thoughtful in making decisions about their lives.
- Visual / Spatial - Children with high visual intelligence process information best using pictures, visuals, and imagery. They have a sense of direction and an ability to think and plan in three dimensions.
- Interpersonal - Children with this intelligence process information by relating to others. They display a high awareness or sensitivity towards others’ feelings and intentions.
- Logical / Mathematical - Children who display this intelligence are curious about how things work. They are able to carry out complex calculations, enjoy finding connection and patterns in shape and numbers.
- Naturalist / Environmentalist - Children with high appreciation towards natural wonders and phenomena are said to possess this intelligence. They see the connection within the natural world and display genuine care for the environment.
- Musical / Rhythmic - Children with high musical intelligence learn best through music, sound, and rhythm. They have high ability to perceive pitch, tone and rhythmic patterns.
- Bodily Kinesthetic - This form of intelligence involves using body parts to communicate or express oneself, and the ability to coordinate bodily movements well.
Our Facilities:
- Learning Room - Fully equipped with various toys and learning aids to identify and encourage a child’s self-discovery of individual talents or intelligence.
- Library & Resource Corner - Filled with books in different languages and catering to various reading levels, our libraries cater fully to children’s intellectual exploration and self-learning or discovery.
- Science Corner - With child-friendly apparatus available, children are able to safely explore early years’ science experiments that stimulate and expand their minds.
- Computer Corner - All computers are installed with Nurkids’ in-house selected programme. We teach children on how to use computers as a means of gaining general knowledge.
- Culinary Kitchen - This is a unique Nurkids facility that is fully equipped child-friendly cooking utensils aimed at kick-starting our junior chefs’ culinary journey.
- Music Corner - This corner is equipped with various types of musical instruments and percussion for children’s creative pursuits.
- Creative Art - One of the key features of all Nurkids Centres, children are provided with the opportunity to learn how to creative and play.
- Sick Bays - Designated sick bays provide a quiet and conducive resting space where a child’s symptoms can be properly monitored and treated until his or her recovery picks up.
Playschool .
Age : 3 Years Old
These are the key factors that we hold on to dearly to ensure our little ones are able to grasp the basic idea of introduction to basic learning. Our Play School program caters for 3 years old children who wants to have some introduction to alphabets and school life.
Our playhouse programme uses a holistic approach in shaping our young generation. We aim towards a balanced education that will ensure your child will learn both academic subjects at the same time gain an Islamic outlook on life. They will have activities that will allow them to learn coordination of movement, sense of order, power of concentration and social development. The specially trained teachers will assist in fostering the development of their gross and fine motor skills, independence and language acquisition. English is used solely as medium of instruction

Is your child a natural-born leader? Independence is nurtured in our preschool where self-directed learning is the key and children are encouraged to work on projects that intrigues them. A dynamic approach will be applied in shaping the minds of our children.
